For the heck of it while watchin' TV last night, I was even curious enough to look up Vox replacement grill cloth, beading and vinyl/tolex to make a new and very convincing cab for one that could hold a larger speaker. 10-watt, all-tube combo offering the classic VOX Top Boost tone. I was running that 12" speaker idea through my head last night, wondering if they ever put one out with a 12" or not? If I found one with a larger speaker, I'd likely grab it. Outside of an expected boxiness I kinda hear in videos, is the tone of an AC10 in the ballpark of an AC!5 at all? I mean, in essence is it there or more it's own amp? I called around, none of the music stores close enough have one to go try out - Dang. But, I know there are those of us that loves this plugged up with our Strats, so I thought I'd throw it out here, too, for feedback.
